Grady Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer


Grady Health System is pleased to announce that Christopher R. Mosley, FACHE, DSL, will join the executive team as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mosley begins work on April 8, 2013.

Mosley is an experienced healthcare leader in hospital operations at academic medical centers, large health systems and community hospitals. Most recently, Mosley served as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. He is a former Chief Operating Officer for St. Anthony’s Hospitals in Denver and former President and CEO of Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake, Virginia.

A graduate of Alabama State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business/Management, Mosley earned a Master’s of Public and Private Management, Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Birmingham Southern College. He received a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Named one of Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Minority Healthcare Executives in 2006, Mosley was the recipient of the National Association of Health Services Executives Young Healthcare Executive of the Year Award in 2003 and the organization’s President’s Award in 2009. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, past president of the National Association of Health Services Executives and a former member of the American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board.
