Dr. Penny A. Castellano, MD, FACOG

Dr. Castellano completed her undergraduate education at Drew University (BA Zoology). She graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in May 1985. Her postgraduate training was at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals, where she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in June 1989. After a brief period in private practice, Dr. Castellano joined the Emory faculty and has been a member since July 1990. She served as Student Clerkship Director from 1991 ‰ÛÒ 1996, and as Director of Residency Training, Crawford Long Hospital of Emory University 1992-1995. She was Medical Director of Emory Clinic North from 1997-2001 and Section Chief of Primary Care 1998-2002, when she transitioned to several Chief Medical Officer and Chief Quality Officer roles for the Emory Clinic and affiliated group practices. She currently serves as Associate Director and Chief Medical Officer for The Emory Clinic and Emory Specialty Associates. In November of 2016, she additionally began serving as Interim Chair for the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Emory University School of Medicine.
