Doctor's Bio
Dr. Amalia A. Aldredge, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. She is also the Associate Medical Director at Grady’s Ponce de Leon Center. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Washington, where she was in the underserved track. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Emory University, where she stayed on for a chief resident year. She also completed her fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Emory University, during which she participated in the Masters of Science in Clinic Research (MSCR) and T32-supported HIV training programs, and joined faculty in 2024.
Dr. Aldredge is a clinician educator. She has a focus on delivery of HIV care and prevention for vulnerable patient populations and is interested in long-acting injectable antiretroviral therapy. She sees patients at the Grady Ponce de Leon Center and rounds on the inpatient HIV and ID consult services at Grady Memorial Hospital. She also loves teaching, especially creating safe learning spaces and visual representations of ID concepts.
