Dr. Alison F. Ward, MD

Dr. Alison F. Ward received a BA in anthropology and French literature from Johns Hopkins University and her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She returned to her hometown of New York City and completed an integrated general surgery/cardiothoracic surgery residency and a cardiothoracic surgery research fellowship at NYU Langone Health. In 2019, Dr. Alison F. Ward joined the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University as an assistant professor of cardiothoracic surgery. She has a strong interest in medical students, resident education, quality improvement. Her clinical interests include hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and total arterial revascularization for coronary artery disease. She is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Women in Thoracic Surgery, and is a council member of the Georgia American College of Cardiology.
