Voting is Healthy – Exercise Your Right to Vote

We know COVID-19 has made voting a challenge. We want to provide the tools and information you need to make sure you can safely register to vote, request a mail-in ballot, or know when and where to vote.
Register to Vote
If you are not a registered voter, you have until Monday, December 7, 2020, to register to vote in the Georgia Runoff Election on January 5, 2021.

Vote by Mail
Registered voters can request a mail-in ballot now by visiting ballotrequest.sos.ga.gov. It can take several weeks to process your request and mail a ballot to you. If you want to vote by mail, please make your request early.

Vote Early In Person
Early in-person voting begins on Monday, December 14. Check with your county election office for hours and locations. Remember to bring a valid photo ID such as a driver’s license, passport, or voter identification card with you. And, don’t forget to wear a mask, wash your hands, and watch your distance!
Early in-person voting ends on Friday, January 1, 2021.
Vote on January 5
If you plan to vote in person on January 5, 2021, you must cast your ballot at the correct polling place. If you have questions about your registration or your polling place, visit www.mvp.sos.ga.gov or call (470) 242-4952 for assistance.

Things to Know
The Georgia Senate runoff election is Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
To register to vote in Georgia, you must:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be a legal resident of the county
- Be at least 17 1/2 years of age to register and 18 years of age to vote
- Not be currently serving a sentence for conviction of a felony involving moral turpitude
- Have not been found mentally incompetent by a judge
