Neuro ICU, Step Down, and General Neurology RNs

Grady is hiring registered nurses for our neuro ICU, step-down, and general neurology in-patient units to provide safe, evidence-based, kind-hearted care to our patients and their families. Our patient-centered care is multidisciplinary, innovative, and compassionate.

Grady’s Marcus Stroke and Neuroscience Center, one of the nation’s elite Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Centers, sets the standard for stroke and neurological care. The center has a 24-bed ICU unit, a 15-bed step-down unit, and a 32-bed general neurology unit with two neuro-interventional angiography suites and a dedicated CT scanning suite located on the unit. Our Neuro Critical Care and Intermediate Care Units are state-of-the-art and provide an optimal environment for the highest quality patient care, training, and self-development.

Our team approach to patient-centered care enables nurses to enhance their skills and be on the front line of cutting-edge neurological treatments for some of the most complex neurological conditions like SAH, IVH, ICH, ischemic stroke, thrombectomy, seizures, brain tumors, aneurysms, SDH, meningitis, and autoimmune diseases.

The work requires a diverse set of critical care skills from advanced neuro assessment, trach care, critical drip and lumber drain management to ICP management, BIS monitoring, CRRT, hypothermia protocol, and management of sedation, analgesics, vasoactive drips, hypertonics, and paralytics. Our nurturing and supportive environment encourages nurses to develop their knowledge and skills and further their careers, including a one-of-a-kind Critical Care bridge program for RNs interested in growing their skills.

To be considered for this role, qualified candidates must have:

  • Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse (ADN required; BSN preferred)
  • One (1) or more years experience as a Registered Nurse required; experience in neurocritical care preferred
