Dr. Shahid S. Ahmed, MBBS, is a board-certified medical oncologist specializing in the treatment of genitourinary cancers.

Dr. Ahmed was an assistant professor and the director of the genitourinary cancer program at the University of Vermont Medical Center where he was a physician member of the genitourinary and skin oncology care teams. While there, he was a core faculty member in the hematology/oncology fellowship program at the University of Vermont, teaching and mentoring fellows, residents and medical students.

Dr. Ahmed received his medical degree from Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana where he served as chief resident. He completed his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Indiana University serving as chief fellow in his final year of training.
