Doctor's Bio

Dr. Ryan B. Peterson, MD, is a neuroradiologist who specializes in imaging of the brain, spine, head, and neck. At Grady, he has particular expertise in imaging for stroke, traumatic brain and spine injuries, and other neurological conditions.

Dr. Peterson earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed his diagnostic radiology residency and advanced fellowship training in neuroradiology at Emory University. He has served as Grady’s Clinical Site Director for Neuroradiology and Assistant Chief of Service and holds subspecialty certification in neuroradiology.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Peterson is an Associate Professor and is deeply involved in training future radiologists. His clinical and academic interests include stroke imaging, neurotrauma, infections of the brain and nervous system, and developing new approaches to radiology education.
