Doctor's Bio

Renee Thomas is a Physician Assistant in Grady’s Urology Center, where she provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced academic medical setting. She is deeply committed to helping patients navigate complex urologic conditions with compassion, clarity, and clinical excellence.

Thomas earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Emory University School of Medicine. She also holds a Master of Public Health in International Health with a concentration in Infectious Diseases from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Georgia. Her multidisciplinary education allows her to approach patient care with a strong foundation in both clinical medicine and public health.

Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Thomas gained extensive professional experience across several areas of healthcare, including serving as a researcher at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and working in medical sales with Pfizer, Incorporated, and Alcon. These roles strengthened her understanding of research, innovation, and the broader healthcare landscape, all of which inform her clinical practice today.

Thomas is the recipient of multiple awards and honors and is an active member of the American Urological Association. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys traveling, fitness, reading, sports, and community service. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, reflecting her lifelong commitment to service, scholarship, and sisterhood.
