Doctor's Bio
Monica S. Branch, MD, is a rehabilitation medicine physician at Grady Memorial Hospital dedicated to helping patients regain strength, function, and independence after illness or injury.
Dr. Branch provides specialized inpatient care for patients in the Marcus Stroke & Neuroscience Center, the Trauma Center, the Walter L. Ingram Burn Center, and general medicine units—working alongside care teams to create thoughtful rehabilitation plans for each patient’s recovery.
She also cares for patients in the Marcus Stroke & Neuroscience Center outpatient clinic, supporting long-term recovery for people healing from brain or spinal cord injuries, stroke, and other neurological conditions. Her clinical expertise includes the treatment of spasticity, utilizing Botox (onabotulinum toxin) therapy, as well as diagnostic nerve and muscle testing (EMG/NCS) to inform personalized treatment plans.
Dr. Branch is a faculty physician with Emory University School of Medicine, where she trains and mentors future rehabilitation doctors, bringing the same compassion and teaching spirit to both patients and medical learners.
She believes recovery is a partnership, focused on listening, setting meaningful goals, and helping each patient return to the life and activities that matter most to them.
