Doctor's Bio
Dr. Michael J. Connor Jr., MD, received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1999 and his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2003. He completed combined internal medicine–pediatrics residency training at Brown University in 2007, and completed fellowship training in adult nephrology and critical care medicine at the Cleveland Clinic from 2007 to 2010. He joined the faculty of the Emory University School of Medicine in September 2010, where he holds the rank of Professor of Medicine in Critical Care Medicine and Nephrology, and serves as Director of Critical Care Nephrology.
He is an internationally recognized expert in acute renal replacement therapies (RRT), acute kidney injury (AKI), antimicrobial dosing in AKI, volume management and hemodynamic support of the critically ill, intra-abdominal hypertension and abdominal compartment syndrome, extracorporeal organ support and blood purification including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and RRT surge preparedness.
