Doctor's Bio
Dr. Lauren Gensler, MD, is an internal medicine physician and psychiatrist who specializes in caring for patients with both medical and behavioral health needs. As Medical Director of Grady’s Medicine and Psychiatry Unit, she leads an integrated care team that provides coordinated treatment for patients whose physical and mental health conditions are closely connected.
Dr. Gensler is passionate about delivering whole-person care that addresses not only medical and psychiatric conditions, but also the social factors that can affect a person’s health and recovery. She works closely with patients and families to develop personalized care plans that support long-term health and well-being.
In addition to caring for patients at Grady, Dr. Gensler is committed to educating the next generation of physicians. She mentors medical students and residents and helps develop innovative training programs that promote integrated, patient-centered care.
