Doctor's Bio
Dr. Sonya Haw, MD, is an endocrinologist who cares for patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, and other hormone-related conditions at Grady. She provides care in both the hospital and outpatient clinics and is committed to helping patients understand and manage their conditions for better long-term health.
Dr. Haw completed her combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota, followed by fellowship training in Endocrinology, Metabolism and Lipids at Emory University. She joined the faculty in 2014 and has built her clinical practice at Grady.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Haw is actively involved in research focused on improving diabetes treatment and prevention. She has also helped expand access to specialized endocrinology services at Grady, including developing a dedicated clinic to provide comprehensive hormone care for transgender patients.
