Doctor's Bio
Dr. Ifeoma O. Onuorah is an assistant professor in the Division of Cardiology and co-director of the Echo lab at Grady Hospital. She graduated with her undergraduate degree in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed her medical school training at the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2008. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency training at Johns Hopkins Osler program in Baltimore, Maryland, and General Cardiology Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, in 2014. Prior to joining Emory faculty, Dr. Ifeoma O. Onuorah worked at Dorn Veterans Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, for 2 years. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr Onuorah has a special interest in cardiovascular disease in women and in disadvantaged, underserved communities.
