Doctor's Bio
Dr. Ghada M. Elshimy, MBBCh, is an endocrinologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hormone-related conditions, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, pituitary diseases, adrenal disorders, osteoporosis, and other endocrine conditions. She is committed to providing personalized, evidence-based care that helps patients achieve better long-term health.
Dr. Elshimy completed her internal medicine residency at New York Medical College at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and her fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She joined the faculty at Emory University in 2025 after serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Augusta University, where she directed a multidisciplinary Pituitary and Neuroendocrine Clinic.
At Grady, Dr. Elshimy partners with patients to develop individualized treatment plans while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive endocrine care. She is also passionate about medical education and serves as Program Director of the Endocrinology Fellowship, helping train the next generation of endocrinologists while advancing the field through clinical research and teaching.
