Doctor's Bio
Dr. Feyi Ward brings more than 25 years of experience as a physician, educator, and mentor to her work in academic medicine and patient care. Born in Nigeria and raised in Canada, she earned her medical degree from McMaster University School of Medicine in Hamilton, Ontario, and completed her residency training at Legacy Hospitals in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Ward serves as Co-Medical Director of the Grady Anticoagulation (AC) Clinic, where she partners with nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and clinic staff to deliver comprehensive, high-quality anticoagulation care. Since joining Grady, she has collaborated on multiple research and quality improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening patient outcomes and advancing best practices.
An Assistant Professor of Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine, Dr. Ward also practices as an Academic Hospitalist at Grady Hospital, where she is deeply committed to teaching and mentoring residents and medical students on the wards. She is passionate about fostering the next generation of clinicians and helping learners grow into confident, compassionate physicians.
Dr. Ward’s dedication to service and community has been recognized through numerous honors, including the 2025 American College of Physicians (ACP) Georgia Chapter Volunteerism and Community Service Award. She has served on several boards, including the American Red Cross and the Reach Museum in Washington State. She currently serves on the ACP Georgia Governor’s Advisory Council and Awards Committee and remains an active volunteer—judging resident research, supporting Jeopardy-style academic competitions, and mentoring students through mock medical interviews.
Fluent in English and Yoruba, Dr. Ward embraces connection both inside and outside the clinic. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and dancing.
