Doctor's Bio
Jessica Briscoe, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Morehouse School of Medicine. She joined the faculty in 2025 as Associate Program Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program.
Dr. Briscoe earned her M.D. from NYU Grossman School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She completed her fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Temple University Hospital, where she served as Chief Fellow in her final year of fellowship.
Before joining Morehouse, Dr. Briscoe was a faculty member in the Division of Gastroenterology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, where she also served as Associate Program Director of the GI Fellowship Program and Assistant Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency. In addition, she was an Academic Coach for medical students and a faculty advisor to the local chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA).
Dr. Briscoe’s clinical and academic interests focus on colorectal cancer disparities, obesity medicine, gastrointestinal manifestations of nutritional diseases, and the impact of systemic inequities on nutrition and health in underserved communities. She is deeply committed to advancing equity, inclusion, and diversity in gastroenterology training and practice.
