Doctor's Bio
Dr. Andres A. Rodriguez Ruiz, MD, is a board-certified neurologist and epilepsy specialist who cares for patients with epilepsy, seizures, and other complex neurological conditions. He has specialized expertise in electroencephalography (EEG), epilepsy care, intraoperative brain monitoring, and the evaluation of critically ill patients with neurological disorders.
Dr. Rodriguez Ruiz earned his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico Medical School before completing his neurology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed advanced fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Rodriguez Ruiz is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Emory University School of Medicine. His research focuses on improving the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, advancing EEG technology, and developing new therapies and devices to improve outcomes for people living with seizure disorders.
