Doctor's Bio
Dr. Daniel P. Hunt, MD, is a hospital medicine physician and nationally recognized leader in internal medicine. He cares for hospitalized patients at Grady and is committed to improving the quality, safety, and experience of inpatient care. His clinical interests include hospital medicine, quality improvement, patient safety, and physician education.
Dr. Hunt earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Before joining Grady and Emory in 2015, he held leadership roles in both private practice and academic medicine, helping build and lead nationally recognized hospital medicine programs.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hunt has been passionate about training the next generation of physicians while advancing high-quality, patient-centered care. His dedication to clinical excellence, innovation, and mentorship has earned him numerous teaching awards and recognition as a leader in hospital medicine.
