Doctor's Bio
Dr. Cynthia Romero, MD, is a board-certified emergency medicine and emergency medical services (EMS) physician who cares for patients at Grady. She specializes in emergency and prehospital care, helping improve the treatment patients receive from first responders and EMS teams before they arrive at the hospital.
Dr. Romero earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed her emergency medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She then completed advanced fellowship training in Emergency Medical Services at Emory University School of Medicine.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Romero is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and a member of Emory’s Section of Prehospital and Disaster Medicine. Her work focuses on strengthening emergency response and ensuring patients receive coordinated, high-quality care from the moment an emergency begins.
