Dr. Andrew Porter

Doctor's Bio

Dr. Andrew Porter, MD, is a pediatric cardiologist who specializes in caring for infants, children, and adolescents with congenital heart disease and other heart conditions. At Grady, he also provides fetal echocardiography to help identify and evaluate heart conditions before a baby is born.

Dr. Porter earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center. He then completed advanced fellowship training in pediatric cardiology at the University of Michigan/C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Porter believes in building lasting relationships with patients and families. He works to help children understand their heart health, receive the care they need, and focus on what they can do rather than allowing a heart condition to define them. He is also an Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine.
