Doctor's Bio
Dr. Allen L. Dollar, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist and Chief of Cardiology at Grady, where he also serves as Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services. He provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of heart conditions and is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Maryland, Dr. Dollar completed his internal medicine training in Washington, D.C., followed by a cardiology fellowship at the National Institutes of Health and Washington Hospital Center. Before joining Grady, he spent more than a decade in private cardiology practice in Atlanta.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Dollar is passionate about educating the next generation of physicians. He works closely with cardiology fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students in both the clinic and cardiac catheterization laboratory, helping train future leaders in cardiovascular medicine.
