Doctor's Bio
Dr. Abhi Kole, MD, is an internal medicine physician who cares for hospitalized patients at Grady. As a hospitalist, he works closely with patients and their care teams to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and coordinate care throughout their hospital stay.
Dr. Kole earned his medical degree from Emory University and a PhD in Immunology from the University of Oxford. He completed his internal medicine residency at Emory and went on to work in rural India through the Health Equity, Action, and Leadership (HEAL) Initiative before returning to Grady in 2020.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Kole is passionate about improving access to high-quality healthcare and addressing barriers that can affect a patient’s health. He also helps educate future physicians about community health, social medicine, and the importance of understanding the factors outside the hospital that can influence health and recovery.
