Honoring Grady Trauma Pioneers
Our annual trauma symposium is named in honor of Dr. Grace Rozycki and Dr. David Feliciano, whose leadership and innovation helped shape Grady into the leading trauma center it is today.
Dr. Rozycki pioneered the use of surgeon-performed ultrasound in trauma care, transforming how critically injured patients are assessed and treated. Dr. Feliciano, whom we were deeply saddened to lose in 2024, made groundbreaking contributions in hepatic trauma and vascular damage control, saving lives and training generations of trauma surgeons.
Their vision and dedication laid the foundation for Grady’s status as Atlanta’s only Level I trauma center. The Rozycki/Feliciano Trauma Symposium celebrates their enduring impact and continued influence on trauma care and education.
We are honored to carry their legacy forward.
Built for Critical Moments
Grady’s Trauma Program is the backbone of emergency care in the Southeast and the busiest trauma center in the nation. Every day, our team delivers expert, lifesaving care for the region’s most critically injured patients. From high-speed collisions to gun violence, falls to mass casualty events, Grady is built to respond.
We don’t just treat trauma – we lead it.
As a nationally verified Level I trauma center, Grady is a teaching hospital and training ground for the next generation of trauma surgeons, nurses, EMS, and rehab professionals. Our trauma experts work side-by-side with specialists in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and critical care to deliver integrated, advanced treatment.
And we’re not stopping there.
We’re expanding our services, our education programs, and our outreach to ensure every patient has a fighting chance, no matter where their injury occurs.
When seconds count, count on Grady.
