Doctor's Bio
Dr. Bhavin B. Adhyaru joined Emory University in 2011 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Grady Memorial Hospital. He completed his residency at Emory with distinction in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.
Dr. Adhyaru is actively involved in teaching residents and third-year medical students. He serves as Assistant Director of the Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) and Quality Improvement curricula for the internal medicine residency program. He also developed an EBM curriculum for the third-year medical student clerkship, which was piloted in 2014–2015, and now teaches EBM as part of faculty development for the Division of General Medicine.
His clinical and research interests include heart failure management, type 2 diabetes, and dyslipidemia. At Grady, he helps direct both the Heart Failure Clinic and the Diabetes Feedback Program in collaboration with the Endocrinology team.
Dr. Adhyaru is also co-authoring a textbook on the principles and applications of EBM with Drs. Dan Dressler and Dustin Smith.
He has mentored medical students and residents in more than 40 oral and poster presentations at national and regional conferences, including the American College of Physicians (ACP), Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM), and Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM).
