Doctor's Bio
Dr. Brian Howard, MD, is a vascular neurosurgeon who specializes in treating complex conditions affecting the blood vessels of the brain and spine. At Grady, he cares for patients with brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), stroke, and other cerebrovascular conditions using both traditional surgery and minimally invasive endovascular techniques.
Dr. Howard believes patients should understand their diagnosis and feel confident in their treatment plan. He takes time to explain complex conditions and treatment options clearly and works closely with Grady’s multidisciplinary neuroscience team to provide coordinated, compassionate care.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Howard is dedicated to advancing neurovascular care and training the next generation of neurosurgeons. His work combines advanced surgical techniques, innovation, and a patient-first approach to help achieve the best possible outcomes.
