Dr. Sara Auld, MD, MSc is an Associate Professor of medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in history from Stanford University, Dr. Auld attended Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. She also worked at the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer in the International TB Branch of the Division of TB Elimination.

Dr. Auld’s research is focused on the clinical epidemiology and transmission of TB and drug-resistant TB, as well as TB and HIV coinfection. She is also interested in the host immune response to TB infection, including the pulmonary alveolar macrophage response to TB and mechanisms by which HIV infection may impair that response.
