Doctor's Bio
Dr. Kara K. Prickett, MD, is a board-certified ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgeon with specialized expertise in head and neck surgery and complex airway disorders. She cares for patients with a wide range of conditions affecting the head, neck, and airway, using advanced surgical techniques to provide personalized, high-quality care.
Dr. Prickett completed her otolaryngology residency at Emory University Hospital and advanced fellowship training in pediatric otolaryngology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is double board certified in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology.
At Grady, Dr. Prickett is part of multidisciplinary teams that care for patients with complex head and neck conditions. She also helped develop the EXIT (Ex Utero Intrapartum Treatment) program, a collaborative effort involving specialists from Grady and partner institutions to safely manage complex airway cases during delivery. She is committed to providing compassionate, coordinated care while advancing innovative approaches to treating patients with challenging head and neck conditions.
