Doctor's Bio
Dr. Jeremy D. Ackerman completed his MD and PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Stony Brook and joined the Emory University Department of Emergency Medicine faculty. He holds a joint Biomedical Engineering appointment at Emory University and the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has applied his clinical and engineering expertise to various collaborative efforts, including developing a novel platelet function assay, exploring the impact of acoustics in healthcare settings, and the US domestic entry screening process during the Ebola crisis.
