Doctor's Bio


Dr. Jennifer O. Spicer, MD, MPH, is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Emory University. She received a combined Medical Degree and Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Emory University in 2012. She completed her residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Emory University, where she joined the faculty in July 2019. She works as a primary care physician for persons with HIV at Grady’s Ponce de Leon Center, and she serves on the inpatient general infectious disease consult service and HIV service.

Dr. Spicer’s primary academic interest is in medical education. She is the recipient of multiple teaching awards from learners and peers, and she holds several medical education leadership roles at Emory School of Medicine, including the medical school and the Internal Medicine residency program. Her research interest is in the science of learning and career development for medical educators.
