Dr. Jenny Han, MD, MSc, ATSF, completed her undergraduate studies at Northwestern University and began her career in caregiving as a substance abuse counselor for teenage girls. She went on to become an EMT and paramedic before attending medical school at Ross University. She completed an Internal Medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital as chief medical resident and completed a fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Emory University as chief fellow. In addition, she earned her master’s degree in science from the Emory Rollins School of Public Health.
At Grady Hospital, she serves as the Medical Director of Respiratory Care Services and the Medical Director of the Long Covid Clinic Collaborative. In addition, she is a member of Emory University’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and the chair of Women in Critical Care at the American Thoracic Society. Dr. Han actively participates in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows at Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Han’s research career has focused on defining the relationship between host immunity in immunocompromised patients with respiratory infections, and she has focused her clinical and research interests on defining and treating long COVID patients. She is a multiple principal investigator and co-principal investigator on several federally funded Long COVID clinical and research grants.
