Dr. Pradilla completed his training in neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2012 and his fellowship training in cerebrovascular and skull base surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2013. In addition he received postdoctoral research training in cerebrovascular research and experimental neuro-oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine prior to his residency training. Dr. Pradilla is the director of the cerebrovascular research laboratory for the Department of Neurosurgery and a member of the Emory Brain Research Laboratory. He specializes in the surgical treatment of cerebrovascular disorders including aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and carotid artery stenosis, as well as in open and endoscopic surgery for brain and skull base tumors. His basic and clinical cerebrovascular research focuses on subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral hemorrhage, and intracranial aneurysm formation, and his research in skull base surgery focuses on microsurgical anatomy and technique development in skull base surgery.
