Doctor's Bio
Dr. Grayson Norquist, MD, MSPH, is Chief of Psychiatry at Grady and a Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. He is a nationally recognized psychiatrist and healthcare leader dedicated to improving access to high-quality mental health care for individuals and communities.
Throughout his career, Dr. Norquist has led efforts to strengthen behavioral health services at the local, national, and international levels. Before joining Grady, he served as Chair of Psychiatry at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and held several leadership positions at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), where he helped shape national mental health research and policy. He has also worked with organizations including the World Health Organization to improve access to mental healthcare in underserved communities around the world.
At Grady, Dr. Norquist is committed to expanding access to compassionate, evidence-based behavioral healthcare while advancing innovation, quality improvement, and education. His work continues to focus on building stronger systems of care that improve outcomes for patients and families.
