Doctor's Bio
Dr. Ann C. Schwartz, MD is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She is the Director of Residency Education, and in this administrative role, she oversees the overall education of the psychiatry residents in the program, which provides both excellent clinical training as well as opportunities to develop as an educator and researcher.
Dr. Schwartz’s main clinical responsibilities are on the Consultation-Liaison (C/L) Service at Grady Memorial Hospital, where she serves as the Director of the service. This is one of the busiest, highest acuity C/L programs in the country. In this role, Dr. Schwartz is actively involved in teaching to psychiatric residents and fellows, as well as medical students.
Dr. Schwartz’s academic interests include C/L psychiatry, education, and professionalism.
