Doctor's Bio

Chanda C. Graves, PhD, ABPP, is a board-certified clinical child and adolescent psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. At the Ponce Center, she leads an interdisciplinary behavioral health program that supports children, adolescents, and families affected by HIV, working closely with an integrated pediatric care team to provide compassionate, whole-person care.

Dr. Graves is passionate about helping young people and their families build resilience while navigating chronic health conditions. Her clinical interests include pediatric health psychology, family therapy, HIV-related behavioral health, and culturally responsive care for underserved communities. She is also dedicated to educating the next generation of psychologists, serving as Associate Training Director for the Emory University School of Medicine Internship in Health Service Psychology and supervising psychology trainees at the Ponce Center.

In addition to her clinical and teaching roles, Dr. Graves has contributed to national efforts to improve mental health care and HIV awareness through leadership in professional organizations and collaborations focused on expanding access to culturally appropriate care for children, adolescents, and families.
