Dr. Ziad N. Kazzi, MD, is a board-certified emergency physician and medical toxicologist who specializes in caring for patients with poisonings, medication overdoses, toxic exposures, and radiation-related emergencies. He completed his emergency medicine residency at Emory University, where he served as chief resident, followed by a fellowship in Medical Toxicology through Emory University, the Georgia Poison Center, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Today, Dr. Kazzi cares for patients at Grady while also serving as an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Emory University, Assistant Medical Director of the Georgia Poison Center, and a medical toxicologist with the CDC. He is passionate about improving emergency care through education, research, and disaster preparedness, and has helped train healthcare professionals around the world in the recognition and treatment of toxic exposures and other medical emergencies.

Whether caring for patients in the emergency department or helping prepare healthcare teams for complex emergencies, Dr. Kazzi is committed to delivering expert, compassionate care when it matters most.
