Considering a career in nursing? Grady’s Shadow a Nurse Program gives you the opportunity to experience nursing firsthand by observing a Grady registered nurse in a clinical setting.
Participants can learn more about the nursing profession, see what a typical day looks like, and gain a better understanding of what it means to care for patients at Grady.
All participants must be approved by the Shadow a Nurse Program Coordinator before participating. Shadowing experiences are limited to a maximum of 12 hours.
Required Documentation
- Complete the Shadow a Nurse Program Application
- Complete the Non-Grady Employee New Hire packet
- Submit a reference from an instructor, adviser, counselor or mentor
- Receive and wear a visitor ID badge
- Complete the Evaluation Form at the end of the experience
