The Grady Cancer Center for Excellence has once again been recognized by the QOPI® Certification Program, LLC, as successfully completing a three-year certification program for outpatient hematology-oncology practices that meet nationally recognized standards for quality cancer care.
“Grady’s team of clinicians and staff work around the clock to provide the highest standard of care,” said Pooja Mishra, Vice President of Oncology and Sickle Cell at Grady. “This recertification demonstrates our unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible health outcomes for our cancer patients by continuously elevating the quality of care we deliver.”
In applying for certification, Grady participated in a voluntary comprehensive site assessment against clearly specified standards that are consistent with national guidelines and was successful in meeting the standards and objectives of the QOPI® Certification Program.
QOPI® certification reflects a commitment to quality of care that leads to fundamental changes in the clinical practice of oncology. Grady achieved this certification by meeting QOPI’s core standards in all areas of treatment, including:
The QOPI® Certification Program was launched in January 2010, and nearly 300 practices are currently certified. This designation for outpatient oncology practices is the first program of its kind in the United States and was expanded internationally in 2016.
