NURSE PRACTITIONER/POST-GRADUATE

Grady Nursing Nurse Practitioner/Post-graduate program provides advanced training for nurses who have already completed their master’s or doctoral degree. It provides specialized clinical training in areas like acute care, family practice, or others to enhance expertise and expand scope of practice.

Prerequisites

Students in need of Nurse Practitioner or Post-Graduate practicums are to submit the NP/Post-Graduate packet to request a preceptorship experience at Grady or in the Grady Clinics.
Each student is responsible for securing a preceptor and having that preceptor validate willingness to precept by signing and dating the appropriate form in the packet.
Requests will be processed according to received dates. Request for preceptors are cleared according to available staff to precept and approval by the unit directors.

Advanced Clinical Practicum Placement(2)

An affiliation agreement between Grady and the School of nursing is required to be in place prior to any clinical experiences.nnAll nursing programs must submit a request for clinical rotation form which includes the name of the student(s), faculty, and assurance that a current unencumbered Georgia nursing license is active at the time of application and during all clinical experiences for faculty seeking clinical placement. Individuals serving as clinical faculty are required to complete an orientation to patient care services through attendance at a live session and completion of required online orientation modules annually.
