Doctor's Bio
Dr. Mohammad Y. Zaidi, MD, MS, is a board-certified surgeon and surgical oncologist who specializes in treating cancers of the digestive system. He has particular expertise in cancers of the pancreas, liver, gallbladder, and bile ducts.
Dr. Zaidi uses minimally invasive surgical techniques when appropriate, which can allow surgeons to perform complex cancer procedures through smaller incisions. For some patients, these approaches may result in less pain and a faster recovery after surgery.
Dr. Zaidi earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. He then completed advanced fellowship training in complex general surgical oncology at Duke University School of Medicine.
Dr. Zaidi is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. His approach focuses on helping patients understand their diagnosis and surgical options and developing an individualized treatment plan based on their cancer and overall health.
