Jennifer W. Carlisle, MD
Dr. Jennifer W. Carlisle, MD, is a board-certified medical oncologist who specializes in treating cancers of the chest, including lung cancer, mesothelioma, and thymic cancers. She works with other cancer specialists to develop an individualized treatment plan based on each patient’s diagnosis and needs.
Dr. Carlisle has particular expertise in immunotherapy, which uses the body’s immune system to recognize and fight cancer. Her research focuses on understanding why some cancers respond to immunotherapy while others do not and finding new ways to make these treatments more effective.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Carlisle leads and contributes to clinical trials that evaluate new cancer treatments and combinations of therapies. Her work brings together patient care and research with the goal of developing better treatment options and improving outcomes for people with lung and other thoracic cancers.
