Doctor's Bio
Born and raised in Georgia, Chandler Ligas has a strong passion for caring for the residents in and around the Atlanta area.
Ligas’ academic journey started in North Carolina at Pfeiffer University, where he captained the soccer team. He was then led into the podiatry field while suffering an ankle injury during his tenure. From there, he matriculated into Kent State University in Ohio, where he earned honors academically and professionally. While Ohio was great, Georgia was on his mind, where he was able to train under the tutelage of experts at Emory University.
He took an additional year of advanced surgical training at a multi-specialty group in California, learning reconstructive options for end-stage ankle arthritis, including total ankle replacements. He has published in several podiatry journals nationwide and continues to give back to the profession by serving as the Seminar Chairman for the Podiatry Institute.
