Zhenyang Zhao, MD, MS
Dr. Zhenyang (James) Zhao, MD, MS, is an eye surgeon who specializes in treating conditions that affect the eyelids, tear ducts, and eye sockets. He cares for patients with thyroid eye disease, tumors around the eyes, and injuries that require reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Zhao has advanced training in eye and facial surgery, including procedures to repair damage caused by injuries or skin cancer. He also performs cosmetic procedures to improve the appearance of the eyelids and surrounding areas.
Dr. Zhao earned his medical degree from Fudan University in China and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He received advanced surgical training at the University of Michigan and gained experience treating complex eye conditions at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Zhao conducts research to improve eye treatments and surgical techniques. His focus is on providing expert, personalized care that helps patients protect their vision, restore function, and improve their quality of life.
