Doctor's Bio
Dr. Emad Qayed, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist and Section Chief of Gastroenterology at Grady. He specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the digestive system, including gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
Dr. Qayed performs a range of endoscopic procedures to diagnose and treat digestive conditions. He has advanced expertise in therapeutic ERCP, a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat problems affecting the bile ducts and pancreas, as well as enteral stenting to help relieve blockages in the digestive tract.
Dr. Qayed completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Emory University and earned a Master of Public Health from Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health. He is also a Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine.
In addition to caring for patients at Grady, Dr. Qayed helps develop national guidelines for gastrointestinal care and is dedicated to training future physicians and advancing the diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases.
