Doctor's Bio
Dr. Sandra Hobson, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon who specializes in treating complex conditions of the spine. At Grady, she cares for patients with spinal injuries, spine tumors, and degenerative conditions that can cause pain, weakness, and limited mobility. She is committed to helping patients understand their options and developing treatment plans focused on restoring function and quality of life.
Dr. Hobson earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Emory University. She then completed advanced fellowship training in spine surgery at Mayo Clinic, with a special focus on the treatment of spine tumors.
In addition to caring for patients at Grady, Dr. Hobson is passionate about educating future surgeons and improving access to high-quality surgical care. She serves as an Associate Program Director for the orthopedic surgery residency program and has participated in global health initiatives focused on expanding access to essential surgical services.
