Can I ride along on an ambulance?

EMS ride alongs are basically a chance for EMT, medical and nursing students to ride along in an Ambulance and observe how paramedics treat and manage patients in their unique hospital-based care environment, which is very different from providing the same medical care in a hospital.

Because there are issues regarding patient confidentiality, observer safety and legitimacy of a “random” person being allowed into complete strangers homes during medical emergencies, Grady EMS will not allow you to participate in an Ambulance Ride Along unless it is part of your training or new employee orientation.
