Dr. Grant works at Grady Memorial Hospital as a trauma surgeon, emergency/elective general surgeon, and surgical critical care intensivist. She received her MD degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed her general surgery residency at the Greenville Health System University Medical Center. Her surgical critical care and trauma surgery fellowships were done at Jackson Health System & Ryder Trauma Center, University of Miami Health System.
During her training, Dr. Grant engaged in several global health electives, participating in surgical trips to Cameroon, Kenya, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic. As a fellow, she helped establish a comprehensive adult ECMO program at Jackson Health System, then studied the impact of the program while assisting in the development of innovative treatment strategies during extracorporeal life support. She also contributed to designing and writing a prospective study of the impact of early parenteral nutrition for critically ill septic surgical patients.
