Dr. Kimberly D. Manning, MD

Dr. Kimberly D. Manning has a passion for teaching and working to bring out the everyday lessons in patient care that sometimes get missed. A strong focus of her academic interests includes humanism in medicine, medical professionalism, and patient-doctor communication skills. An avid writer, she regularly contributes reflective writing pieces to high impact journals such as JAMA, The Annals of Internal Medicine and Academic Medicine, and mentors medical students, residents and colleagues on writing. She has been the recipient of numerous teaching awards including the 2012 Evangeline Papageorge Distinguished Teaching Award–Emory University School of Medicine’s highest recognition for teaching and most recently, the 2017 ACGME Courage to Teach Award.
