Dr. Brian P. Bobzien, MD

Director, Pain Clinic

Dr. Brian Bobzien is a native of North Carolina, and earned his B.S. from North Carolina State University in 1998 and M.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009. He then completed his residency training in Anesthesiology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Following his residency training, he completed specialty training in Pain Management at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014. Dr. Bobzien joined the faculty of Emory University’s Department of Anesthesiology as an Assistant Professor in 2014, working full-time at Grady Hospital. He is double board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Bobzien enjoys the challenges and rewards associated with helping patients manage their chronic pain. While using a multidisciplinary, multimodal, and biopsychosocial approach to pain management, he focuses mostly on lifestyle improvements, non-opioid medications and interventional therapies. Interventional therapies are often performed utilizing fluoroscopic and/or ultrasound guidance and include trigger point injections, peripheral nerve injections, joint/tendon injections, epidural steroid injections, selective nerve root injections, facet/sacroiliac joint injections, radio-frequency lesioning, and spinal cord stimulation.
