Tiffany Choe, PharmD is a PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Specialty Resident. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore, Maryland and completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Her research project will focus on evaluating the incidence of acute kidney injury in patients receiving concomitant vancomycin and piperacillin-tazobactam therapy at Grady Health System. Upon completion of her residency, she plans to pursue a clinical specialist position in infectious diseases.

Brianna Franklin, PharmD is a PGY-2 Internal Medicine Specialty Resident. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School Of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Shands at The University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. Her primary interests include internal medicine and infectious disease. Her research project will focus on evaluating treatment dosing of enoxaparin in obese patients presenting to Grady Health System. Upon completion of her residency, she plans to pursue a clinical specialist position in internal medicine.

Elyse Hall Panjic, PharmD is a PGY-2 Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Resident. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, Alabama. She completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Grady Health System. Her research project focuses on implementing and evaluating a hypersensitivity/infusion reaction protocol for patients receiving intravenous chemotherapy. Upon completion of her PGY-2 Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Residency, she plans to become a hematology/oncology clinical pharmacist specialist at a large teaching institution. She would also like to serve as a preceptor to pharmacy students and residents.

Amy Schultz, PharmD is a PGY-2 Emergency Medicine Resident. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy in Richmond, Virginia. Her primary interests include emergency medicine, toxicology, critical care, and infectious disease. Her research project focuses on emergency department visits and medication reconciliation in patients with mental illness. Upon completion of her PGY-2 Emergency Medicine Residency she plans to pursue a specialist position in emergency medicine.

Jennifer Sutherland, PharmD is a PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Resident. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University Of Georgia College Of Pharmacy in Athens, GA. She completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Grady Health System. Her research project implements and evaluates a revised insulin infusion protocol in the ICU. Upon completion of her PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency she plans to pursue a clinical specialist position in critical care at a large academic institution.

Houda Aboujamous, PharmD is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Her primary interests include infectious diseases, oncology, and ambulatory care. Her research project will focus on quantifying the change in serum potassium after potassium administration. Upon completion of her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency she plans to pursue a specialty residency.

Rita M. Gayed, PharmD is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Tallahassee, FL. Her primary interests include infectious disease and critical care. Her research project focuses on evaluating the performance of the Grady Health System meeting the core measures of the six-hour sepsis bundle. Upon completion of her PGY-1 residency, she plans to pursue a specialty residency.

Olivia Johnson, PharmD is a PGY-1 pharmacy resident. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University Of Georgia College Of Pharmacy in Athens, GA. Her primary interests include emergency medicine, neuro critical care, and critical care. Her research project is evaluating if administration of alteplase administration in the CT scanner reduces door to needle times in acute ischemic stroke. Upon completion of her PGY-1 Pharmacy residency she plans to pursue a specialty residency in emergency medicine or critical care.

Steven Nakajima, PharmD is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University Of Georgia College Of Pharmacy in Athens, GA. His primary interests include critical care and emergency medicine. His research project is an analysis of the pharmacokinetics of vancomycin in critically ill trauma patients at Grady Health System. Upon completion of his PGY-1 pharmacy residency he plans to pursue a specialty residency.

Kate Pleasants, PharmD is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the South Carolina College of Pharmacy in Charleston, South Carolina. Her primary interests include Infectious Diseases, HIV/AIDs, and clinical research. Her research project focuses on implementing and assessing outcomes associated with a hospital-based pneumococcal vaccination program. Upon completion of her PGY-1 pharmacy residency, she plans to specialize in Infectious Diseases.
